2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files a website may store in a browser. They can remember information, keep features active or provide information about how a service is used. Other technologies, such as browser local storage, can perform similar functions although they are not technically cookies.
The rules distinguish technologies needed to provide a requested service, which do not require consent, from analytics, unsolicited personalization or advertising technologies, which may only be activated after valid consent where required.
3. Technologies currently used
Play&Pair uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to obtain aggregate metrics about visits, pages viewed and website performance. This tool does not use cookies, local storage or fingerprinting to collect its metrics and does not create profiles of individual visitors.
We do not use our own analytics or advertising cookies. Nor do we place non-essential storage technologies before the user accepts them.
The “Near me” feature saves a technical preference in browser local storage only after you select or authorize an area. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
- Name: playandpair:publicTournamentLocation:v1.
- Type: first-party technical local storage; it is not a cookie.
- Purpose: remember the selected area, approximate coordinates, search radius and label in order to sort nearby tournaments.
- Activation: when you select a location or allow geolocation and apply the selection.
- Duration: up to 30 days unless you remove the location or browser data sooner.
4. Third-party services
Cloudflare provides Web Analytics through a JavaScript beacon that measures visits and performance. The beacon loads from static.cloudflareinsights.com and sends metrics to Cloudflare; it does not use cookies, local storage or persistent identifiers for this purpose.
Other features connect to third parties. Google may be involved when you use sign-in, place search or maps; Stripe may be involved when you visit its page to complete a payment. These providers may use their own cookies or technologies on their domains under their own policies. Play&Pair does not control cookies placed directly by external sites.
Links to app stores and other external sites also lead to services governed by their own policies. We will review and update this page if we add measurement, advertising or another provider that places technologies through Play&Pair.
5. Consent and settings
If we use non-essential cookies in the future, we will provide options to accept, reject or configure them before they are placed. Accept and reject options will have equivalent visibility, and you will be able to withdraw consent as easily as you gave it.
No consent panel is currently shown because Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage and the public website does not place analytics or advertising cookies. This must be reviewed before adding any non-essential tag, pixel, SDK or storage technology.
6. How to remove or block storage
You may remove the saved location from the “Near me” feature or clear Play&Pair data in your browser's privacy settings. You may also block cookies or local storage, although some preferences or features may no longer be remembered.
Settings differ by browser and device. Check its help section to manage cookies, location permissions and data stored by websites.
7. Updates and contact
We will update this policy when the technologies, purposes, providers or periods change. The description on this page must always reflect the Service's effective configuration.
